Principle contract: Corplex (Vic)

H & H were contracted on a design and construct basis.  The project consisted of Daikin ducted air conditioning systems, serving various office spaces.  Ventilation to amenities and fresh air make up for all office spaces.  The warehouse attached to the offices had a smoke exhaust system installed with an exhaust rate of 50,000I/s.

H & H were contracted to carry out all mechanical works for the BP Travel Centre consisting of a main dining area, 5 tenancies, staff facilities and common amenities.

The project consisted of 4 Actron packaged air conditioning systems to the main dining area with each tenancy having its own packed air conditioning system.  Staff areas were air conditioned by Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems.

Ventilation of supply and exhaust air were installed to the building, with the supply air quantity being monitored by CO2 sensors to control the exact requirements.

H & H also supplied and installed a BMS system that controlled and monitored all A/C, Ventilation, Cold Room/ Freezers, Lights, Water and Energy useage.  This system can be remotely controlled and is hooked up to the BP network for ongoing maintenance.

This original late 60’s office warehouse located in the city fringe was converted to three floors of office space.

With no ceiling space on the middle and upper floor, temperzone high static package units were used.

To service the middle floor duct work was run over the exterior of the building and incorporated into the building facade minimising the loss of internal floor space.

Bulkheads were created complete with side blow grilles to deliver air throughout the open plan layout and offices.

The lower floor used conventional Actron Air Split Ducted Systems. The air was distributed throughout the office area with lay in type swirl diffusers.

The top floor executive level, modern design open plan layout and offices. Temperzone roof top package units were used, to distribute the air through insulated exposed painted spiralled duct work.

A Mitsubishi Electric Bulkhead Ducted System was used to service the fully glazed meeting room complete with side blow grilles.

The project whilst huge in scale presented several unique issues that had to be considered both in the design and installation process.

Residential Case Study

This Queenslander was a renovation that included lifting, extending and building in underneath whilst keeping its old Queenslander exterior it has a totally modern interior.
We liaised with the owner, architect and builder to provide a functional energy efficient design that met the cooling requirements of a large family with multiple day time living areas and bedrooms.

A combination of round, lineal side blow grilles and slot diffusers were used throughout the house to blend in with the lighting layout and clean modern ceiling and bulkhead lines.
A Polyaire Air Touch System was used to control the various zoning requirements. This system also has Wi-Fi connectivity so the system can be operated through tablet/smart phone throughout the house.

Fujitsu Ducted Systems were incorporated into the design. The larger three phase system primarily services the day time living areas/zones. A smaller single phase system was used to air-condition the bedrooms to maximise energy efficiency during the night time running but at the same time have the flexibility to cool the Bedroom areas of a day if required.
